What is needed to text jog order/standby list to the in-gate and announcer?
ð you need an internet connection. If the show provides
WIFI you can use it. Otherwise you will need either 1) a tablet with built in internet connectivity or 2) use your phone as a hotspot
that provides WIFI for your tablet, or 3) purchase a portable internet device to supply WIFI.
ð you need to setup the destination addresses
for the text messages. This includes the phone number and provider name of the in-gate and announcers phone.
What is the announcers
phone does not get the text messages?
ð check that the phone number and provider name are correctly set up.
ð verify that the announcers
phone is working i.e. has a connection to its network. Try calling the number to see if it has network connectivity.
ð you can also
include your number as a destination when setting up. This way you can see that the program is correctly sending the messages and
when they are received (on your phone through your phone provider).
